Full Metal Jacket 1987
Last of the “F” title movies in my collection. Really great movie. Being a Kubrick film it’s obviously great. But it’s definitely a difficult watch and not something that I revisit with any sort of frequency.

Dead Man Walking 1995
Interesting watch on the complexities of capital punishment. As irredeemable as Sean Penn’s character was, until the very end, I think I still felt sympathy for him. Definitely a movie that takes you on a journey inward.

The Crow: City of Angels 1996
I have always wanted to love this movie. As much as I love The Crow, I wanted to believe that this sequel could recapture some of the magic: a lot of the same crew, writers and it even has Iggy Pop…but I just can’t.
It is so terrible. It’s a Crow knockoff with the same exact story, the only difference being that it is set in some sort of futuristic LA where everything has a golden hue. 👎👎
