It's tough but sweet! I really like the watermelon song, and the way Kyle Gallners character walks everywhere just so angry makes me laugh. It has some secondhand embarrassment stuff but it never felt like too much or like it wasn't for a reason. The movie does a good job of carving a space for the characters in the world they're in. Like a Napoleon Dynamite if they swore more.
