  Awesome film. The special effects are insane.

  Played a drinking game while watching. 

  Rules:

  Drink for every time that damn Norwegian misses the husky! He sure is a terrible shot.
  Sip whenever you see booze with a label or brand name.
  Take a big gulp every time you see MacReady's glorious, gigantic hat.
  Raise a glass for practical effects designer Rob Bottin, who was admitted to the hospital for exhaustion while working on this movie. Sip for every one of his horrifying creations.
  Drink for "Voodoo bullshit".
  Swallow whenever you see them flamethrow the shit out of their only shelter/expensive equipment/highly flamable materials.

  I like the aesthetic of the film.  It follows the story of the book Red Dragon pretty accurately until the end it goes off the rails. The book was better. I probably won’t watch it again.
