Nosferatu 2024
saw it in 35 mm at the coolidge theater in boston. still beautiful, but i was more aware of pacing issues and an emotional sterility that i can’t put my finger on. maybe it was because Ellen already knew from the start what her and Thomas’ fate might be, and (for me at least) there was little sense of hope to contrast with and devolve into the helplessness of the second half.
also i need orlok’s overcoat.
