Like a hyper sexual Dazed and Confused with far less depth to the end of school musings and a lack in interesting, likeable characters. Particularly when viewed in a modern context, as some real slimy shit goes down in this movie without being portrayed as particularly negative. Here I was scared Charlie would be going 'mainstream' with this Netflix produced 'Get Out' looking premise.
Well shiiiit was I wrong.
Once more his characters are deeply troubled, dealing with existential dread, melancholic poetry and a distrust of everything including time, colour, love and ones own thoughts.
