Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker's Apocalypse 1991
A very insane and funny documentary about everything going wrong over and over during the filming of Apocalypse Now. Frances Ford Coppola saying that his movie wasnt “like vietnam. It IS vietnam” is hilarious. Also when Martin Sheen had a heart attack Coppola told his publicist not to tell anyone Martin Sheen was dead until he had Coppolas approval. Thats awesome. When you watch this documentary it becomes hard to believe they ever finished this movie. Also his wife Eleanor, who made this doc, was secretly recording her conversations with her husband for most of the shoot. Badass.

Under the Silver Lake 2018
A baffling but satisfying movie. Andrew garfields awkward physicality made me want to turn it off several times in the first half but I eventually got sucked in by the bizarre story. Reminded me of inherent vice in that you have no idea what the fuck is going in and its set in LA. Probably 30 minutes too long.
