stop motion has my heart ! Guillermo del Toro took - and the whole team - took it to another level tho.
the puppets, the sets, landscapes, the lights, the dirty - very real - aesthetic, the voices, the camera movement, the story… everything has so much character and so much reality to relate to.
I’m happy that every time it could’ve gotten cheesy or overdone they actually always choose to make it memorable and unique - which is impressive considering that we’re talking about Pinocchio, we’ve heard the story.
