It started out as a beautiful tale about the conflict of man and nature and the torturing cycle of love and war but turned into a commercial for Donald Glover to promote his music.

Still some strong sequences, fine cinematography. Although it didn't use half of the potential it had and turned into what could only be described as "meh".

A film that I have mixed feelings about. Real good acting, real good script and overall very enjoyable experience but I couldn't stop thinking there was something missing. It lacked a core, something that drives the film to be more than what it is. It handled the themes it chose masterfully and without getting overly pretentious like many other films often do. The sub-text was clear yet wasn't shoven into the viewers eye.
If it had more meat, a stronger feeling or overall a better narrative it could have been a masterpiece.

A captivating tale of mystery that has been made way too complicated.
Even the outstanding performance of the brilliant cast are shadowed by the quite unsatisfactory ending. Overall an Inspiring picture although it could have been done way better.

Such beatiful art style that perfectly combines conventional eastern art style with substantially darker and somewhat grotesque scenes. It creates the perfect balance between childish innocence, pure concepts of sheer emotions filled with simple-mindness and an opening to harsher reality filled with adult themes of treason, distress, manipulation, greed. It cherishes the moments of hope and affection while so often showing the crude reality of broken dreams…
