I’ve been letting this movie sit for a little bit now and I can say I thoroughly enjoyed watching it. Lego movies have come a long way over the last few years and I’d love to see more of them explore this genre and style of film making. I think this movie did a great job at balancing its light hearted humor without taking away from the sense of sincerity behind Pharrell’s story.

2 hours 30 min of sleep I’ll never get back. I gave Disney my last ounce of hope for this one and they still failed to come through. The writing of this movie is all over the place and this made it so hard to stay engaged. For a movie that did so well at the box office, this movie sucked. Not sure where all the hype was coming from.

This is one of those rare movies that I walked away feeling better about it than the first watch though.
