There is something immensely satisfying about watching tiny lil Saoirse Ronan beat up and outsmart everyone. I would have wanted her and Eric Bana’s characters to have a nice domestic father daughter life at the end but we can’t always get what we want… still, it’s no less than 4 stars for me thanks to Cate Blanchett’s slight usAmerican southern accented manipulating girl boss villain ✨

2) A testament to the movie’s quality is that the creatures that lived on the planet grossed me out in the beginning because the reminded me of a nightmare I had where bugs were crawling out of my leg but by the end I was almost crying at the baby creature torture
