There Will Be Blood 2007

Unmatched filmmaking by Paul Thomas Anderson. This film really does show the versatility of Anderson’s directing. Coming into this I wasn’t a huge Daniel Day Lewis fan, I can happily say I am now. Paul Dano was fantastic as per usual. The soundtrack, set design, costumes, casting everything was pretty well perfect. What an amazing movie

I’m not a big fan of Yorgos Lanthimos’ movies. Because sci fi usually ain’t my thing. But this one was so godamn uncomfortable to watch, I haven’t felt that feeling in a long time.
There was no relief of laughter, or sadness it was purely uncomfortable and the ending was distressing as hell.
The acting, the music, the shots in this film everything just contributed to that sense of fear. Barry Keoghan gave such an uneasy performance in the best way possible and Farrell and Kidman were amazing.
