How do you grow up in a space that’s determined to squeeze you out? How can you show you care? Deeply moving film which adopts a child’s eye for magic and a worn-down man’s heart for fleeting, beautiful moments of empathy. A difficult watch, but it never felt cruel— every performance was so great that you were always invited to walk with these characters, not watch from afar.

Perfect Blue 1997
I’m pretty sure I understand what just happened. Like 80%.
