Entertaining, but by no means a great movie.
Great picture, music, atmosphere, and fighting. I think Mescal did a great job. However, everything felt completely unnecessary and the story had just…quite honestly…another predictable stupid recycled hollywood revenge/hero plot, or whatever you want to call it. Nothing about the story, the characters and their zero development, or the dialogue felt right or realistic.
Quite disappointing considering its potential and incredible prequel. 1 star for the centurions, 1 star for Denzel, and another so its not rated below anyone but you
