  okay i sat on this a bit more and i actually do not like this movie as a whole very much despite actually laughing out loud for most of it

  the good: 
  - costume design was excellent
  - rachel sennot and ayo edibiri have great comedic timing and chemistry 
  - marshawn lynch was pretty funny and better than expected

  there are certainly things i appreciate about this film like the imagery, the lighting, and the original music. i am also glad a heavy handed coming-of-age trans horror movie exists. i also like the analog horror of the vhs tapes and anything we got about The Pink Opaque itself.
