I will never not love Chris Pratt, but holy crap everything else in this movie sucked. How could this possibly have had a bigger budget than Infinity War.
Nickel Boys seriously deserves more recognition for its cinematography and editing. Sure, it’s not quite the spectacle of Nosferatu or Dune, but it added so much to the emotion of the story. The first person pov during more light hearted scenes makes you feel like a kid again, but in heavier scenes, feels eerie and almost scary. Really loved the use of real life footage and objects as well.
