It’s insane to think that this and Evil Dead II were written in the same apartment at the same time while Holly Hunter, Frances McD and Kathy Bates were hanging out. I’d give anything just to mop their floor.

I don't know if a score has ever been more effective than this one. Each time the main theme swells it feels even more epic and passionate. This whole movie feels perfectly executed. Such a remarkable feat in filmmaking.

Incredibly well written and stylish 70's noir with a seriously funky soundtrack. Mitchum toes the line between cool and sleazy and plays the weathered, aging criminal perfectly. The icing on the cake is the backdrop of 70's Boston. All of the spot on accent work, the locations and the Bruins game scene are all wicked cool and make this even sweeter for a New Englander.
Every time Alex Rocco talks in this I can only hear Roger Meyers Jr, the Itchy and Scratchy executive, and it's a little distracting, but also really adds to the entertainment value.

I don’t think there is a weak spot in the Evil Dead franchise and that remains true with the latest installment. I had a great time watching this movie. Solid scares, unflinching violence and an incredible amount of blood, this movie feels just as akin to the 2013 Evil Dead as it does to the original franchise, but it still finds ways of standing on its own. There are definitely differences from the Ash-centric entries, but I don’t think there’s anything…
