The movie is much less cringe than online shorts make it seem. It’s a fun, ridiculous movie with good pace and saturation.
It’s like a classic Matthew Maccaughey movie: think Sahara or Fool’s Gold.

Better the second time.
My intro to Mad Max was the original three films.
On a second watch, years after its release, I thoroughly enjoyed the action: raw, physical, and jolting.
The characters fight amongst a convoy of rapidly moving vehicles in a dusty desert—jumping and falling across the competing traffic.
The commitment to the setting is enjoyable, and you may appreciate the characters trying to make peace of the mess.

A nice ending.
Feels, at times, like Jesse Eisenberg is going to Jesse Eisenberg and that the script’s dialogue is perfectly in form with how someone would write two cousins or friends bantering / showing affection.
Kieran Culkin is a nice character, but feels too written (at times).
Expressions of pondering loss, love filtered by distance, and connecting with people are appreciated.
