  Not sure I got what I expected from this film. Brendan Fraser's performance is amazing and heartfelt and I can see why he won the Oscar. Unfortunately everyone elses characters felt so over-acted and irate, and blank of any particular real emotion, it made me feel like I was watching the stage play rather than a film adaptation most of the time. The depiction of Charlie's binge eating felt so unnecessary to the story, it felt like those scenes were…

  My one negative comment is the wig hairlines aren't stuck down cleanly in a few scenes, slightly ruining the illusion. This is immediately countered by the fact the cinematography is so clean and precise that I could discern the wig lines at all in the first place. Forgiven.
