  I was REALLY hoping to like it. conceptually, it's great, and the first 40 minutes to an hour are really good! but then it gets lost in the woods and never really regains it's momentum. I've never been a big Bong Joon Ho fan, and I think this film suffers from a lot of the problems his other films have. I think I just don't find his world view to be particularly interesting. his social commentary…

  excellent willem dafoe representation, a good way to start off Dafoe-uary

  the film is is pretty good too! but that being said, it does confirm my beliefs that I'm not a big fan of mr lanthimos' work :/
  he has a really amazing eye for visual filmmaking, but makes decisions on the story front that I'm not a huge fan of

  still, a lot of interesting things at play here, so I'd recommend!
