A History of Violence 2005
classic cronenberg style shots made it grounded and realistic… acting was good with a sick cast but i felt like the writing was lackluster and rushed, not allowing plot or characters to develop. however, with things getting right to the point, it helped keep it grounded in reality and overall solid mob movie. howard shore borrowed a lot from this movie to put into lord of the rings score which really threw me off a few times but elevated both tense and mundane scenes
