I wanna like this movie more than I did because I really like the premise. It’s coming to grips with the unnatural and the whole film stands as a big screw you to reality and I can really get behind that. It lost a lot of credit to me though because the glorification of venture capitalism and the “perfect white picket fence” American dream. The hyper-saturated color scheme works really nicely in the setting and story and some shots are real darn pretty. Maybe the real big fish was the friends we made along the way.
