  This series has a wonderfully melancholic, realistic, warm and gripping line of stories underneath the occasionally comedic outer shell. Some of it feel like a caricature too, but it keeps you coming back for those small moments of revelation, grief or happiness that we encounter in reality as well.

  Truly heartwarming. Like a good bowl of ramen or soba I'd say.

  The characters feel a bit shallow even when it seems like Gyllenhaal & Ahmed could both do so much more. It's a shame that the pay-off for the story is just boosting Louis and making him seem more like a superhero with zero emotion and his luck-skill maxed out. It was entertaining and well shot but there seemed to be room to grow
