It's a decent sci-fi outing, but I'd have to do an in-depth, spoiler-filled review to describe it properly. The acting is sometimes a little too over-the-top, but its themes of identity and classism keep it engaging. There's plenty of dark humour in how nonchalant everyone is about Mickey's recurring deaths.

A deliciously fun thriller about a robot becoming self-aware – but her identity isn't the only twist. The premise is nothing new, but it's written and performed with just enough wit to feel fresh and exciting. The characters' interactions sometimes seem amusingly odd at first, but make sense with later revelations.

It's not as bad as the 2019 Hellboy, but still very sloppy. Having the inciting incident in the opening scene feels like the entire first act is missing, and it provides very little context for those not familiar with Hellboy. The performances are mostly drab, especially Jefferson White as Tom.

In theory, it's primed to capitalise on our growing fears regarding AI's presence in modern society. But the stilted dialogue and sometimes jarring editing quickly dash any suspense by rendering the family interactions shaky and the paranoia rushed and underdeveloped. Ultimately, it's a lacklustre thriller that severely wastes its potential.
