  Tolkien 2019

  These sorts of films have a tendency not to be done very well. This I would say is an exception to that rule. You get a real sense of Tolkien’s life and all the influences throughout it that led to his creation of middle earth and all that encompasses. As a Tolkien lover, I really engaged with this so might be some bias. But in all an enjoyable and informative film, which provided great background and context to the man who produced arguably the best stories/fantasy world ever written.

  British film at its finest. Hilarious true story. Some really funny moments in it as well. Mark Rylance is a brilliant actor.

  Cinematography was really cool. Very gothic. Storyline lacked any real punch. As my off screen brother correctly described it ‘a collection of scenes’ mashed together to make a film. Trying too hard to be weird I think. Still enjoyed elements of it though!

  Really engaging film. Was on the edge of my seat throughout. 

  Was sceptical about Hugh Grants ability to play a sinister character but he did a brilliant job. The shoes were an odd choice though 🤔

  Deals (rather sadistically) with the topic of theology/faith. Always a good basis for a horror film. 

  Deffo worth a watch if you like horror/suspense films!
