  It still astounds me how this film, this masterpiece, maintains such a captivating pace and sense of crescendo over a 3 hour run time. If at times slightly too overdramatic (Cruise breaking the Cruise-o-meter whilst mourning his father), I still find Magnolia's sense of heart and melancholy endearing. Sometimes I look out my window and think what I'd be doing if it started raining frogs.

  A pre-note, I hated Adam Sandler walking into the screen. He leaves an icon.

  Incessant, but with balance, Uncut Gems brought a count of at least 5 occasions my expectations were totally rebounded. A normal film would’ve played to these, but this isn’t normal.

  A film of incredible highs and lows, this truly is a journey (though you don’t know what through) that is impossible not to partake in. Incredibly funny but always with a rotten underbelly, I may already have found my film of the 20s.
