  I appreciated that Gerwig intentionally crafted a comedic story about womanhood. It was refreshing in that so many feminist pieces feel heavy to watch, albeit ringing true. I’ve always enjoyed Gerwig’s films and although the plot did feel a bit clunky at times, I felt her execution was on par with all of her other work. It was emotional without being depressing, and light-hearted in a way that makes little girls giggle and women feel the nostalgia of youth. I…
