Memories of Murder 2003
Holy fuck the camera work / blocking in this movie is insanely clever, not to mention the dialogue and acting. While I like films where multiple shots and coverage are used to emphasise and de-emphasise certain characters or objects, there’s something about those that use long shots and ensemble staging to subtly direct our attention where the director wants us to look. Exact same thing is done in Parasite. Masterful cinematography.
