A Real Pain had all the right ingredients for a solid hollywood flick: two cousins on a pilgrimage to Poland in honour of their late grandmother, a holocaust survivor. I applaud Eisenberg’s imagination that imbued his cast of characters on the tour, including a divorcé from Brooklyn and a Jewish convert who survived the Rwandan genocide.
