The first time I watched this film I cried. That same day I played this film two more times for my other family members. Blackfish is a powerful and dark film about Seaworld and other marine parks like it. It doesn’t simply go into why these parks are so damaging for the animals that are imprisoned, but also the psychological affects such a life has on them. It is a film that made my stomach turn, and fists clench. Despite it being such a hard film to watch, it is a necessary one.
