Ham on Rye 2019
How to make a feature out of a plot that would suit a 10 minute short at most. Write completely inane dialogue, avoid character development, focus the thinly veiled themes around one of the most frivolous aspirations in modern day american society. Spend long sequences on girl trying to call people on her cel phone. Made me wish I were watching Dazed and Confused or any of the myriad other films that treat teens as sentient beings.
