  Untangling the tumultuous relationship between an artist and their muse, as seen from the perspective of an eponymous classical composer. Cate Blanchett embodies Lydia Tar perfectly and at times horrifyingly; her performance carries the story. The sound design was also brilliant and I was impressed with how Field managed to create so much suspense with so little sound. I could have done without the last 20 minutes, though, and I do wonder how Todd Field ever got this story made?
