  I have to admit this movie did lose me a few times but overall this is a masterpiece.

  This film truly captures how many women feel when all the household work is put on them but all the decisions are up to there husband. She does all the cleaning and renovations but it is made clear this house is not hers.

  There is a strong parallel with the virgin merry. Her son Jesus and her husband god. She is the ideal woman in patriarchy, giving until she has nothing left to give then moving on to the next.
