    Joker

Sometimes the most terrifying thing about a villain is that they're just crazy and violent and there's no reason for it. That's part of what makes Hannibal Lector so frightening in The Silence of the Lambs. That's part of what makes Heath Ledger's Joker so compelling in The Dark Knight. I didn't want an origin story for the Joker. We certainly didn't need one. After watching the trailer, though, I begrudgingly admitted that it looked pretty damn good.

Roger Waters hasn't toured to support an album since 1987's Radio KAOS album and tour. To be fair, he hasn't released much since then. I'm tempted to criticized the film for trying to…

Maybe Logic: The Lives and Ideas of Robert Anton Wilson

    ★★★★★

Robert Anton Wilson has probably had a greater impact on my life than anyone else. I've been a fan of his books since I picked up Illuminatus! in high school, which began a binge of everything of his I could get my hands on.

I find Maybe Logic to be a great sampler of the concepts Wilson tends to write about. There are only touches of biographical information contained in this film, which is made up of lectures and interviews…
