The cinematography was phenomenal. I don’t think I fully understood the concept on the first watch, a lot of details went over my head as I was trying to read the subtitles and look at the screen.
It requires another watch for more understanding.

The Last Angel of History 1996
I seen this at The Academy of Motion Pictures in a theater setting. I had no idea what I was getting myself into to, but ended up incredibly engaged/intrigued. I can imagine it’s a much better more immersive watch that way.
The narrative piece of this documentary was very thoughtful and very well edited. I feel like every conversation loop was closed and there was cohesion amidst so many moving parts.
This editing style could’ve easily been cacophonous but…

I’m still trying to figure out what exactly I just watched.
I think the first story was the best of the 3 and I will say that the cinematography was beautiful across the board.
The second story- took it over the top with the limb eating. And then the wife randomly appears- what in the hell is actually going on.

Her life is a constant mess 😂. This was a very entertaining watch.
I do think the nail on the dresser moment was unnecessary and a bit excessive.
I also think the “ex-girlfriend” / “childhood friend” is very toxic and needs to check her ego! I understand the hand holding / ending scene trying to portray this “we’re in this crazy world/ environment together” . HOWEVER the petty manipulative revenge energy she was giving was not it!
