    i think watching this as part of manchester international festival with a fat sound system favoured my score but i do feel like this gave such a rich history of techno all over the world and i very much loved. made me miss the club though <\3

    beautifully shot (so gorgeous!), did enjoy how far some of the truly depraved scenes were pushed AND acting was great BUT the overall message of the film left me feeling uneasy. emerald fennel (if you couldn’t already tell by her name) is a private schooled oxford english graduate, which in hindsight makes a lot of sense. this isn’t the twisted eat the rich story we thought we were getting, in fact it felt like a white middle class apologist flick.…
