Was a great film which showed the powerlessness of sex work, and despite her ‘party girl’ disposition and being paid lots of money, Ani’s value ends when the sex is over.
Was hard to watch at points as you feel the humiliation, like you and every character around her knows her “place” except her.
I wish it touched on these realities more, and didn’t make Ani look so dumb or unaware at some point. And the end scene with Igor…
handles grief truthfully, but also envisions a unity that looks above pettiness and greed. Love brings us together, even to the women ur fiancé had an affair with before he died.

not a bad film but another 90 minutes of women getting slaughtered by men and then scapegoated by “the devil made me do it”. Could have been so much better and creepier if there were a reason for the devil wanting fathers to kill their daughters on specific dates apart from just making a pattern on a piece of paper of an overdone devil motif.
