Somewhat messy, it has a really nice tone but I'm just watching stuff happen, events unfold one after another without any immersion whatsoever.
Best scene was Pattinson and Holland talking.
    Best scenes overall were Pattinson's.
I liked the narration and the fact that it was from the book's author himself.

Mildly interesting at best. I love depressed Chalamet and I think he did a great job as usual, Pattinson's performance and his god awful french accent were amazing and that's about it.

very good film but i unintentionally expected a great one, after Parasite.
Performances were the best thing to come out of this, Pattinson Colette Ruffalo and Ackie genuinely rule.
First half is amazing, second gets in more generic blockbuster scifi territory which is a shame.
The dictatorship aspect could have been pushed so soooo much higher, but I guess I was looking for a more dramatic and dark tone instead of silly.
Very fun and funny movie though

Visually it's very interesting and creative, rarely boring to look at although the cgi feels years behind from time to time. Dialogues are awkward which to me stems from an awful pacing. You get slomo shots and emotional speeches every couple of minutes and so very few of them actually convey any emotion. Kinda feels like a 3/4hrs movie that was cut way shorter (no, I don't want an extended director cut this time tyvm).
    Most characters seem hyper stereotypical…
