The Last Sharknado: It's About Time

    ★★

The Sharknado team go back in time for an absurdist Bill and Ted style adventure. Features a drag queen Morgana, pterodactyl riding, flying horse drawn carriages, Billy the Kid, robotic flying sharks, and a bunch of welcome return cameos. Funny, stupid and a nice way to finally pull the plug on all things weather and shark related. So long then, and thanks for all the fish!

    Sharknado 5: Global Swarming

    ★★

Aka Sharknado on tour. Features Olivia Newton John, Katie Price, Sam Fox, some kind of nuclear teleportation plot device, Indiana Jones jokes, bad CG in bucketloads, and all manner of stupid one liners, kills and cack acting. Craptastic with a capitol C!

Probably the best film of the year so far and probably one of the most important films of the decade.

Nolan's scripting and direction is impeccable, whilst the sound design, score and cinematography are in perfect harmony throughout, ensuring that Oppenheimer's nightmare vision of a world careering out of control toward self destruction is beautifully and frighteningly realised.

Everyone involved in this riveting biographical take on the father of the atom bomb, deserves a round of applause.

1980’s underdog teen classic from Rocky helmer John G Avildsen featuring a  charming performance from a young Ralph Macchio as bullied youth Danny LaRusso, Elisabeth Shue in an early role as Daniel’s love interest, and an unforgettable turn from Pat Morita as wise karate master Mr. Miyagi. Spawned a bunch of sequels, a remake, a cartoon, the muchly loved Cobra Kai TV series and another upcoming film.
