I enjoyed this film a lot considering I didn’t know what I was expecting. It was a recommendation from a friend and I had no context as to what the movie was about. And I’m glad it was that way because it definitely left me to enjoy every twist and turn in the film. Wow, what a film. Not only was I engaged the entire time but I was excited to see where the story was going. Every argument, every flashback, every subplot focusing on Kendall’s murder we’re stimulating, like a visual caffeine. It’s also the fact I could not predict where the story was going. At first, see the dynamic in the jury room, I thought “oh it’s 12 Angry Men all over again” but no. The stakes felt so much greater because…
I watched this film on the plane ride back home from my trip. I am not one who enjoys being emotional in front of others but by the end of this movie, I had to turn my head towards the window because the tears were falling. Beautiful.
A shocking film to say the least, my jaw was dropped or closed shut trying to hold in the laughter. It went in a direction I was not expecting and I can gladly say that is why I enjoyed the film. It was fun to experience with friends and we couldn’t stop talking about it afterwards. Nicole Kidman is really pushing it with these roles.
