Brutal by name but beautiful in its own way. The films first half makes u realise the harsh and cutthroat realities of immigrant life in the US back then. With the second half providing insight into how you can easily lose yourself to your own hubris. Fuck the van burens, the sick and slimy, stuck up bastards. Score was amazing, the cinematography the same. Enjoyed the intermission . Not sure we needed the epilogue but apart from that would recommend a watch. Not a bad performance from a single cast member.

Monkey Man 2024
Enjoyed it but thought it lacked a little originality. It felt like a directorial debut that really went for the John Wick not James Bond angle, which made the actions sequences pulsating but it fell short with me in the narrative. I wish we got to see more of the secondary characters built out as amazingly as Dev Patel’s character. Dev provides a stellar performance as he always does.
