  somehow the ‘unpredictable murder fueled by social discourse’ plot feels stepped into an Edward Yang’s genre type. Didn’t really feel the necessary for the declaration of ‘Pangzi’ killed that piano teacher as an end of Tingting’s story line, especially when it has been so stunningly used in Terrorizers and A Brighter Summer Day already. I think that’s where I cut of the half star.
  Apart from this it’s delicately completed , analytical as anatomy, accurate, subtle and strong as Yang’ s epic everyday life depicts, the weariness and burden carried in everyday life.
