  Pleasantly surprised by how much effort went in from Chalamet, as well as the entire cast. Movie does a great job of submersing you into all of the early 60’s culture. If you love the culture/music of that time, this is well worth it. My only critique is that I don’t think the payoff at the end is done as well as the rising action.

  Leave the World Behind 2023

  Much scarier than any horror movie currently out. This movie effectively shows what could happen to the US if a massive cyberattack could be successfully carried out. Ethan Hawke, Julia Roberts, and Mahershala Ali all turn in great performances, showing how quickly different types of people respond to situations of crisis. I think Leave the World Behind will age very well, and consistently be relevant in the future of warfare.

  Overhyped. Brief sequences of tension that were good, but overall the movie didn’t really know where it was going. Characters kinda just came out of nowhere and I wasn’t buying their arcs.

  Hard to fill the shoes of Nolan/Bale, of course. But what I loved is that this rendition didn’t try to. The grunge twist to Batman was a risk, but it definitely paid off. Robert Pattinson did a great job portraying a more scarred Bruce Wayne.
