  I’m torn. I absolutely loved the first half. Composition, lighting, acting, story-line….PERFECTION. Each frame looked like a piece of art. The first half is the epitome of filmmaking and inspires me as a filmmaker. Unfortunately things took a turn for me in second half and the prologue left me feeling a bit disappointed. Overall a strong and visually compelling film, but I wish the second half matched the energy of the first.

  I adore Saoirse Ronan, but I did not like this film as much as I wanted. From a cinematic standpoint the sweeping shots of the vast landscape STUNNING. The story for me did not land. I can see what they were getting at but, ultimately I think they could’ve used a bit more time in the editing room.
