This a beautiful mess. I love it. Really looks amazing.
It’s a top gun retread, but a little sweatier and greasier. You never get the sense that you can run into the ocean to cool off. Maybe high in the hills. There’s a reading of this as a Californian who can’t acclimate to the southern humidity and goes crazy.

Some beautiful shots, there’s a lot of energy in the first half. The soundtrack is fantastic, there’s was a bit that reminded me of the blade runner score. The characters are hacky, but if you accept it, it’s ok. Could’ve maybe used something else happening. The stuff with the drone, informant, and pipeline workers kinda feel like the b plot of a tv series, lacking some tension.
