  A microcosm of society with such gravity that it should be placed among the greats: the citizen kanes, the godfathers, etc. The depth of this social commentary is so puissant that it pierces one’s heart with such ferocity as to split it in two. In Owen Wilson’s best performance since The Wedding Crashers, his voice commands the screen with elegance, passion, and charisma. All of this begs these questions: is this the film that defines our generation? Is Owen Wilson’s proverbial growl the mouthpiece of this eon? Is Marmaduke the embodiment of our era? The answer to all of these questions is YES!
