Torah Tropical
One of my friends, mom it’s Heidi Pastor, the producer of this movie. It follows a family from Cali, Colombia that wants to move to Israel. When they eventually are approved to get a loan from the bank, they pack up their stuff and go. Ultimately, they get blocked from entering the country because they attempt to do so illegally and disguise themselves as tourists. Instead, they end up in El Cumbre, Colombia living on a farm and getting money from the dads hallah business.

The Camera Obscura 2008
This movie is about a Jewish immigrant living in Argentina throughout all of her life, she is considered ugly by her family, and everyone in the community. For that reason, she is excluded from family photographs, and she is constantly seen in the movie wearing black. Her daughters wear super vivid colors and they are shown getting ready and putting make up on, specifically when a French photographer visits them and takes their photos. Eventually, towards the end of the film, the French photographer ends up, taking her photograph, and she ends up, gaining a lot of confidence and feeling comfortable in her skin.
