  Really love that, even as a big budget American studio film, it still feels like a Bong movie.
  There's a lot of subplots, and maybe some don't feel they reach full potential (probably as a result of being an adaptation) but this movie is so weird, so fun, and surprisingly poignant.
  Pattinson, Ruffalo, and Collette all give some of my favorite acting I've seen in a while.

  You guys, I thunk David Lynch likes The Wizard Of Oz

  Love that this could have been a basic road caper, but everyone in this movie is just a bit off, except for Diane Ladd whose magnificent performance reaches the stratosphere.
  Maybe one of the best casts ever assembled.

  I was absolutely shaken by this.

  In many ways this feels like the movie that Shyamalan has been building to for his entire career. The parental love of The Sixth Sense, the struggling faith of Signs, the apocalyptic dread of The Happening, all rolled into one of the most viscerally upsetting films I've seen in a while. The 3rd news story in particular put such a knot in my stomach.
