This was largely mediocre for del Toro. I felt the story here was lacking. Beautifully shot though.

The original Blade Runner is the original Cyberpunk. A masterpiece of cinema, the film is an expertly crafted drama exploring the life of Blade Runner Deckard as he chases down humanoid robots known as Replicants that are loose in 2019 Los Angeles. The set design, costumes, and writing are all examples of Ridley Scott's phenomenal attention to detail and masterful film making.

Once Upon a Time in the West is another in a long line of Spaghetti Westerns from Italian director Sergio Leone, who, at this point in his career, is an established powerhouse in the world of film making. His iconic style of wide landscape shots punctuated by tight close-up shots of his dirty, grimy, and poorly dressed characters is in full effect in this feature, lending to yet another classic Spaghetti Western in the canon. Leone's knack for character direction, interesting stories, and suspense, coupled with another phenomenal score from Ennio Morricone, make Once Upon a Time in the West an absolute classic film.
