Visually gorgeous, fun action set pieces and wild performances, but I struggled to connect with this Kurosawa flick; didn’t realise it was gonna be an adaptation of Macbeth, which is a Shakespeare play I’m so bored of seeing. I unfortunately checked out several times throughout, this does get fairly fun by the end, but I just didn’t care much for the story by then, maybe if this had been my first intro to the Macbeth storyline I would’ve been way more intrigued.

This has a lot of silly fun with its concept; didn’t expect this to have so much hilarious slapstick moments.

Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun and Anamaria Vartolomei all give solid roles (one or two moments of overacting), but feel underdeveloped as a result of the film’s obvious cutting, especially…

Doctor Who: The Church on Ruby Road 2023
Ncuti seems pretty fun so far, Ruby Sunday is a fantastic new companion and the two’s chemistry is great. However, the main goblin plot is forgettable and cringey, whilst also feeling very rushed. I’m still interested in seeing what’s in store.
