We haven’t seen much of this kind of homoerotic buddy comedy / PG-13 splatter since ‘80s stuff like Dead Heat. I’m pretty here for it, if only it didn’t feel as rushed and half-baked. Stuff just kind of happens and then you’re on to the next set piece, and nothing really lands. Would I see it again? Hell no. Would I see a Monkey II? Absolutely.
